The medical treatment ticket for a prolific mother and her family members is one of free medical benefits for the Korean people in the DPRK.
The ticket is used by a woman who gives birth to over three babies, as well as her children and husband.
Under the general medical service system, the Korean people receive primary health care from medical workers of clinics in charge of households in the residential quarters and, according to the symptoms of their diseases, they are sent to higher-level or special hospitals.
Those with the ticket can receive medical care at any hospitals according to their wish without complying with such formalities, while enjoying preventive medical service from their doctors on a regular footing.
In Pyongyang alone, about 2 000 households, including the family of Kim Chol Ho who works at the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex and the family of Kim Chol Jun who works at the Munsu Trolley Bus Station, are enjoying the benefits of the ticket.
