Meeting of Political Bureau of C.C., WPK Held under Guidance of
Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held on Monday under the guidance of
Attending the meeting were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK.
Also present as observers were vice premiers of the Cabinet.
Upon the authorization by the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, the respected Supreme Leader
The meeting discussed "On the execution of the state budget for Juche 106 (2017) and the state budget for Juche 107 (2018)" to be presented to the Sixth Session of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
A report was made by Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK.
The Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK examined and ratified the state budget compilation for next year and unanimously adopted a decision for presenting it to the Sixth Session of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly.
Then, at the meeting
In his report the Supreme Leader referred to the north-south summit meeting and talks to be held at the "House of Peace" in the south side portion of Panmunjom on April 27. He made a profound analysis and appraisal of the orientation of the development of the north-south relations at present and the prospect of the DPRK-U.S. dialogue and clarified the strategic and tactical issues to be maintained by the WPK including the future policy of international relations and the orientation corresponding to them.
Then, he pointed out in detail the recent work of the members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and stressed the need for them to give fuller play to their responsibility and role as the commanding members of revolution.
He called upon all the sectors and units of the state to constantly hold fast to the revolutionary banner of self-reliance and carry out without fail the tasks for this year, the third year of implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development by enlisting their technological forces and economic potentials to the full and thus make a breakthrough in revitalizing the overall economy.
