Tender Paternal Affection

It was one day in February, Juche 1948. President Kim Il Sung visited Songnam People’s School (at that time) on his field guidance to South Hamgyong Province and saw the schoolchildren’s music and dance.

He was the first to clap and when the performance was over he personally came on the stage and praised them highly again and again.

This day he made time in his busy schedule for the children.

And then he told the accompanying officials to take the children home in his car for fear that they might catch a cold on their way home late at night.

The children were wearing happy smiles on their faces under his tender affection.
